About Vermont Back & Body Care
Dr. Heather Connolly studied Humanities and pre-medical education at the University of Vermont. She received her doctorate at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. She has studied the science, art and philosophy of chiropractic with special attention to soft tissue therapies, maternity and pediatric care. She completed a residency at a hospital for the treatment of neurological diseases. She has experience with co-treating patients with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, ALS and Post-Stroke patients among others.
In 2004, Dr. Heather completed a 120 hour certification program in maternity and pediatric care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. During this training, Dr. Heather also received certification in the Webster Technique, a specific Chiropractic technique designed to decrease uterine constraint, thus allowing the baby to assume the most natural birthing position.
Dr. Heather is always striving to improve her knowledge and skills so she can help her patients excel. She attends multiple trainings each year to learn new techniques to add to her repertoire.
Dr. Heather grew up in New York State but fell in love with Vermont during her time at UVM. She returned to New York to attend chiropractic school, but came back to Vermont upon graduation. She lives in Montpelier with her two daughters, Sophia and Alyce.
